“What It Isn’t” is an ongoing series meant to portray the dark side of upland hunting errr “farm shooting”. I only endorse this type of activity for east coasters, city dwelling children, the disabled, for dog training, or for disabled dogs. But really, no one fit and able should ever do this.
This week we visit a farm with magical chukar bushes. The kind they truly prefer in the wild but sadly wild birds never have had the good fortune to stumble upon. I’m relieved to tell you that there’s a ranch full of said bushes that charges firing squads to disperse the impostor chukar who are “kinda like a pheasant, kinda like a quail, NOT like a duck” and reside in perfect coveys inside said bushes.
That does not look fun.
